CDF TRANSFORMS NANSENGA RURAL HEALTH CENTRE WITH RADIOLOGY, THEATRE AND MORTUARY

The transformative project at Nansenga Rural Health Centre, funded by the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), is nearing completion, with the establishment of a Radiology, a Mini Theatre, and a Mortuary.
This initiative aims to significantly enhance healthcare services in the district, thereby addressing critical gaps in medical facilities.
The new radiology is set to enable timely and accurate imaging services, allowing healthcare providers to diagnose conditions more effectively and reduce the need for patients to travel long distances for essential scans.
The addition of the mini theatre will allow for a range of minor surgical procedures to be performed on-site, thereby alleviating the burden on larger hospitals and making surgical care more accessible to the community.
This development is expected to greatly enhance the healthcare delivery capacity of the Nansenga Rural Health Centre, ensuring that patients receive timely interventions without the delays often experienced due to logistics and travel.
Moreover, the newly constructed mortuary facility aims to provide families with dignified and compassionate care during their times of loss. This service is crucial in supporting bereaved families and ensuring that the deceased are treated with respect and dignity before burial.
As the centre prepares for its full operations, stakeholders are hopeful that these upgrades will pave the way for continued improvements in service delivery and health outcomes for the entire population of Nansenga, its neighbouring communities and the district at large.
