Chikankata Town Council has received two motorbikes for Chief’s retainers procured using the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Government through the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development recently procured 286 motorbikes for Chief’s retainers across the country.
The procurement of the motorbikes using the CDF is part of government’s effort to promote local governance and empower the traditional leadership.
This initiative will help enhance mobility, leading to better governance and increased community engagement as well as improving service delivery and responsiveness to community issues.
The two branded motorbikes will be delivered to their Royal Highnesses, Chieftainess Mwenda and Chief Naluama.
